Catalog Message
A message type that displays products from your WhatsApp Business catalog, allowing customers to browse and add items to a cart within the chat.
How it works
Catalog messages leverage the WhatsApp Commerce features to let businesses showcase their products directly in conversations. There are two types: single-product messages (displaying one item with image, description, and price) and multi-product messages (showing up to 30 items in a browsable format). Customers can view product details, add items to an in-chat cart, and send the cart as an order message. Catalogs are managed through the Meta Commerce Manager or via the Catalog API. Catalog messages are particularly powerful for e-commerce, food delivery, and retail businesses, enabling a complete shopping experience without the customer ever leaving WhatsApp. They work within the 24-hour session window.
