How it works
The green tick (officially called the Official Business Account badge) is a verification mark that appears next to your business name in WhatsApp chats, replacing the phone number display with your verified business name. It signals trustworthiness to customers and can significantly improve message open and response rates. To qualify, businesses must have a notable presence (Wikipedia article, significant media coverage, or verified brand identity), a verified Meta Business Manager, and an active WhatsApp Business API account with good quality ratings. The application is submitted through Meta Business Suite and typically takes 2-4 weeks for review. Not all businesses qualify. Meta reserves the green tick for notable brands.
